Sgt. Bart
Bart joined law enforcement at approximately 2 years of age in 2019. He was hired and worked as a dual purpose K9 up until his retirement in July 2025. Although, he was awesome in apprehension, Bart excelled in detection work. Bart's achievements include the seizures of 300 pounds of cocaine, 6 pounds of heroin, 200 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately $5k worth of fentanyl along with $1.2 million in cash. Bart's career is nothing short of heroic in his 6+ years on duty. Bart came to K9SOH when his handler, who is still active duty, had an unexpected life event that left him unable to fully care for Bart in retirement. Thankfully, his handler reached out to K9SOH. His handler made the most difficult decision in asking someone else to step in and care for his partner in retirement and give Bart the best that he deserves. We are grateful for his handler to trust us with this duty. Here at K9SOH, Bart will live out a heroic retirement that he has earned.
